GROOM - Part time

Due to our busy schedule, we are looking for another groom to join our growing team!

The role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with amazing horses in a beautiful environment. Polo experience is not essential (but advantageous) but yard experience is essential. You must be a competent rider and confident working with all horses, and most importantly you must be reliable, hardworking, with a high attention to detail. We are a small team, so the desire to get stuck in is essential to the success of the club. Experience in working with young horses would also be advantageous.

A certain level of flexibility is required, as you will need to work around both the horses and businesses needs.

Sales, Marketing & Office Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

-       Day to day business administration tasks associated with running the polo club successfully.

-       Manage the company's social media presence and always ensuring the website is kept up to date.

-       Identify and market to high-net-worth groups in London, to push our residential polo breaks in our Grade II listed Manor House.

-       New business development, be the leading force in the growth of our school's polo academy as well as help to grow all aspects of the business.

-       Main point of contact within the polo office for clients and other suppliers.

-       Ensure that all of our legislation and risk assessments are kept up to date.

-       Work with the Hurlingham Polo Association to ensure that we action any of their requirements and ensure all information is kept up to date.

-       Supporting the Polo Manager in all aspects of tournament preparations, from liaising with players through to arranging umpiring, and other tournament staffing support.

-       Plan and execute an engaging online marketing strategy to drive client acquisition & retention.

-       Feel confident with conducting market research to get a deeper understanding of our customers wants and needs.

-       Experience with attracting aspirational brands for sponsorship & other event opportunities as well as have experience and feel confident with negotiating and managing these contracts.

-       Work closely with Polo Manager to ensure the smooth running of the polo side of the business.

-       Provide additional admin and support to the business director.

- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company targets and objectives
- Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with potential clients

Key Skills

-       Experience in working within an equine business: advantageous.

-       Strong organisational skills.

-       Experience in marketing a luxury brand/product: advantageous.

-       Strong communication skills.

-       Excellent sales & negotiation skills.
- Strong sales background with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets

Further Information

Initially this is a part time role, however depending on success can become a full-time role in due course.

Flexible working welcome, so role could suit someone wanting to work around school hours.

Some weekend working will be required over tournament weekends.

Remote working - will need to be able to come to the office a couple of days a week.

Salary dependent on experience
