Our Ponies - expertly trained and great fun!

Leadenham Polo Club knows that great Polo ponies make for a great game of Polo.

We own twenty specialist Polo ponies, handpicked in Argentina by England Polo Player Henry Brett.  Argentinian Polo ponies are renowned for being expertly bred and are well-trained.

Polo ponies (not ponies at all - as they are all full size horses) have to be agile, sturdy, and have great stamina.

Good Polo ponies must be ridden every day, and it is important that they are played with long reins, so the horse is not tense - this is a properly trained horse.  Argentinean Polo ponies' training begins very early on whilst they are still foals, but are not played too early to ensure that they are fit and healthy for a long life in the exciting sport of Polo.

If you learn or play on our ponies, they will be highly-trained, at least five years old, and suited to your riding ability.
