Taster Day; a very popular package that gives you the chance to try out polo.  No experience is necessary as full instruction will be given.  Hats and sticks are available but we do ask that you wear sensible, weather appropriate clothing and boots with a small block heel.  The day (usually a Friday) starts with a safety brief and overview of the game, then on to the wooden horse to try out your swing.  You'll soon be ready to mount your pony and give it a go, learning stick and ball techniques, trotting and cantering while practising your swing, then some games designed to teach you more about the skills needed to play, in a fun way.  Following lunch at the Clubhouse, you'll be back in the saddle for your second lesson, finishing the day with mini chukkas.  A very full day, lots of fun, and great as an introduction to polo.

Midweek break; if you have more time to spare and would like to take time out to learn polo, why not try our 1 or 2 night midweek break?   No experience is necessary as full instruction will be given.  Hats and sticks are available but we do ask that you wear sensible, weather appropriate clothing and boots with a small block heel. Arrive at the Clubhouse for 2pm on the Tuesday, and get settled into your room.  You'll be given a safety brief and overview of the game, then on to the wooden horse to try out your swing.  You'll soon be ready to mount your pony and give it a go, learning stick and ball techniques, trotting and cantering while practising your swing, then some games designed to teach you more about the skills needed to play, in a fun way.  The evening is then yours to enjoy, there are several very good pub/restaurants in the area that we can recommend, or why not try out the nightlife in Lincoln?  Wednesday starts with a light breakfast at the Clubhouse, your instructor will then talk you through your day, a lesson in the morning with your final lesson in the afternoon rounding off your experience with mini chukkas.  Should you have the time to stay a second night, your instructor will be able to really improve your game on the Thursday with two further lessons, by the end of your stay you'll be hooked!

Weekend course/Long weekend course; if you simply cannot take the time out of your busy schedule to visit us in the week, why not opt for our weekend courses?  Following the same format as the Midweek break, with the addition of a full English breakfast, you're sure to enjoy a welcome break away from your hectic life.

Lessons; if you're looking for something more, why not book an individual or group lesson?  Aimed at teaching you polo from beginner to chukka standard and beyond, lessons are perfect for those wishing to learn the game but only have an hour at a time to spare and would like regular progression.  Under the expert tutelage of our Coach, you'll be taught all the skills necessary for playing polo at a time convenient to you in either a group or a tailor-made one-to-one lesson.

From time to time, we are asked about minimum age, minimum/maximum height and weight, so as a guide:

We have taught children from the age of 7 years, naturally we would expect a parent or carer to stay on the premises for the duration of the lesson if the child is still of primary school age.  There is no maximum age.  As to height and weight - there is no minimum or maximum height.  There is no minimum weight, maximum weight is 16.5 stone (105kg). We would encourage anyone outside of these parameters to contact the club to talk about any options that may be available.
